Wayne Hogan
Wayne Hogan’s eclectic approach to art eludes labels. Using sharp scissors, magic markers, pen and ink, bright paper, found objects, the iPhone camera – and the digital canvases of the iPhone and computer – he creates an enigmatic world in a style uniquely his. Results range from polished and edgy to inner-child naïve. He is known for collage, cartoons, line drawings, photography, and a media mix of all of the above. His work has been featured in Gordon Lish’s The Quarterly by Random House, California’s Riverside Press, Spinning Jenny, Tightrope, The Christian Science Monitor, Bostonia, School Arts, and as covers for scores of literary and art journals. He is available by appointment at his studio at 370-C Reagan St., Cookeville, and on-line at waynehogan.com.
