The artist moved to Cookeville, Tenn. from Hawaii 20 years ago. When she was young, her parents strongly believe appreciating art was essential in life and any form of art - music, poetry, or painting - could enrich people's lives and enhance their world experiences. They were the reasons she returned to the canvas. The artist seeks to capture the simple moments that inspire her by extracting the abstract visual components from the ordinary scenes in nature. Her paintings reflect her interpretation of the beauty from ordinary scenes, and hope that viewer can respond with similar emotions and feel a sense of peace from a scene of a farmhouse in the woods, an old grandpa's barn, or cows and trees in a peaceful field.
